Israeli forces continue to pound Gaza after killing at least 82 Palestinians on Sunday, including 10 people waiting for food aid.
US President Donald Trump says there is a “good chance” that a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas could be reached this week.
Trump’s comments come as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is due in Washington, DC, and as negotiations resume in Qatar’s capital, Doha.
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 57,418 people and wounded 136,261, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023, attacks, and more than 200 were taken captive.
