Israel has killed at least 97 Palestinians and injured 230 others since the start of the ceasefire, and violated the truce agreement 80 times, the Gaza Government Media Office says.
The Israeli military has killed dozens of Palestinians in a wave of air raids that it said were in response to a ceasefire violation by Hamas, which the group has denied.
US President Donald Trump says the ceasefire in Gaza is still in effect, stressing that Washington is working to ensure that the situation is “very peaceful”.
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 68,159 people and wounded 170,203 since October 2023. A total of 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023, attacks, and about 200 were taken captive.
