Israeli forces have launched a new wave of airstrikes targeting multiple areas, including three neighbourhoods in Beirut and locations in Iran’s capital, Tehran, marking a significant escalation in the conflict.

Across the Gulf region, missile and drone threats continue, with countries such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Kuwait reporting successful interceptions of incoming attacks.

Meanwhile, an investigation by Amnesty International has concluded that the United States was responsible for a strike on an Iranian primary school that killed at least 170 people, most of them schoolgirls.

On the diplomatic front, Germany has ruled out joining the US-Israeli military campaign. European leaders have also signaled reluctance to intervene, with the European Union’s foreign policy chief stating that there is little support among member states to deploy forces to secure the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran claims it has closed to its adversaries.

In Lebanon, fighting on the ground is intensifying. Hezbollah fighters are reportedly engaged in heavy clashes with Israeli troops in the south, as Israel pushes forward with ground operations following weeks of sustained aerial bombardment.
