ABU DHABI, 17th November, 2025— The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting compassion, tolerance and cooperation among nations, emphasising that lasting peace is rooted in an open mind and a spirit of understanding.
In line with this mission, the committee announced that throughout 2026 it will introduce new initiatives in partnership with international organisations, focusing on education, sport and agriculture to help strengthen a global culture of tolerance and human fraternity.
Speaking on the International Day for Tolerance, Dr. Khalid Al Ghaith, Secretary-General of the committee, highlighted ongoing efforts to embed the principles of coexistence across all sectors of society. He noted that recent programmes have included education, arts and sports-based initiatives, such as the virtual Institute for Human Fraternity, launched in collaboration with multiple universities to support specialised research on tolerance.
Additionally, the committee has partnered with schools to build connections between students locally and internationally, while also organising a series of community-focused events—including a marathon and a virtual art competition—encouraging participants to creatively express the values of fraternity and peaceful coexistence.
