What started as a normal business transaction between a Tanzanian expat Mr Bonny Godbless George and Exim Credit Bank (ECB) in Dubai blossomed into a remarkable career, as Bonny transitioned from being a client to being one of the bank’s most respected agent connecting the bank with its growing clientele in Asia, Africa and beyond.
Talking to Daily Times, Mr Bonny said he remembered the first day he walked through the doors of ECB a few years ago for an ordinary bank transaction which later on became a routine for all his financial assistance in Dubai.
“I remember feeling overwhelmed by the paperwork and the financial jargon,” Bonny recalled, “but the team at ECB Bank was incredibly patient and helpful. They explained everything in a way that made sense and guided me through every step.”
Mr Bonny said he continued to utilize ECB Bank’s services, from personal loans to investment advice. Each interaction deepened his appreciation for the industry and solidified his desire to pursue a career in finance. With a background in business administration, he decided to take a leap of faith and applied for a position at ECB Bank.
“I wanted to be part of the team that had made such a difference in my life,” he added, “I knew that joining ECB, I could be able to also help others in the same way I have been helped.”
Bonny’s journey from client to agent has been marked by a series of achievements. Last week he met the bank’s CEO Mr Robert Joseph who certified him as a financial advisor and also promoted him to a senior agent role.
His story has become a source of inspiration within ECB Bank, motivating both staff and clients alike with his dedication to his work and his clients aligning with the core values of the bank: integrity, service, and commitment to community.
