Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism Unveils Vision for Future Jobs at Talent of Tomorrow Forum
The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), in partnership with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), has set the stage for the future of learning and work at the Talent of Tomorrow Forum, held on April 17 at the Museum of the Future.

The forum brought together over 450 educators, policymakers, and industry experts to explore how Dubai can stay ahead in a rapidly changing global landscape. A highlight of the event was the launch of the ‘Jobs of the Future’ report—a strategic blueprint aligning education with emerging industries, as part of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, and the Education 33 Strategy.

Jointly developed by DET and KHDA, the report examines the influence of technologies like AI, automation, robotics, and green energy on the job market. It identifies key gaps in the current educational system and offers actionable steps to better prepare students for tomorrow’s workforce. Findings are backed by insights from nearly 7,800 students and educators through the Dubai Future of Jobs survey.

“A strong education sector is fundamental to Dubai’s long-term economic vision,”
said Hadi Badri, CEO of the Dubai Economic Development Corporation.

“This initiative reflects our commitment to developing skilled, resilient talent.”
Dr. Wafi Dawood, CEO of Strategic Development at KHDA, added,

“Education must evolve with the future of work. This forum is a crucial step in bringing education and industry closer.”
With a diverse education ecosystem and over 800 vocational and training institutions, Dubai is well-placed to lead global talent development. The report outlines priorities such as expanding STEM education, integrating AI tools in classrooms, and encouraging interdisciplinary learning to ensure students are future-ready.
