Dubai to Welcome the Launch of Ultra-Premium GEMS School of Research and Innovation in August
Dubai is set to welcome a new frontier in education with the opening of the GEMS School of Research and Innovation in August 2025.
Located in Dubai Sports City, the state-of-the-art school promises to offer one of the world’s most innovative and expensive educational experiences, with annual fees ranging from Dhs 116,000 to Dhs 206,000.
The school, backed by a $100 million investment, will follow the English National Curriculum, prioritizing small class sizes for personalized learning. In its first year, classes will cater to students from Early Years to Year 6, with future plans to expand to secondary levels. The campus spans 47,600sqm and includes exceptional facilities such as an elevated football field that doubles as a helipad, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.
GEMS Education’s most ambitious project to date, the school will offer over 15 core sports, including swimming, basketball, gymnastics, and martial arts. Students will also have access to cutting-edge arts programs, with a 600-seat auditorium, black box theatre, and specialized music rooms. A Disruption Lab and Research Centre will foster entrepreneurial thinking, preparing students to tackle real-world challenges.
Maryssa O’Connor, Principal/CEO of GEMS Wellington International School, emphasized that the institution’s focus is on delivering comprehensive, premium education that meets the growing demand for all-in-one solutions. The school will also leverage partnerships with tech giants like Apple, Microsoft, and HP to enhance the learning experience.
With an innovative, research-driven curriculum and world-class facilities, the GEMS School of Research and Innovation aims to set new global benchmarks in education and solidify Dubai’s position as a hub for elite academic opportunities.
