DUBAI:-The 23rd edition of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship officially opened on April 3, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, reaffirming the UAE’s standing as a leading global destination for elite equestrian events.

This year’s competition brings together 155 horses representing 12 countries, with 18 contenders securing qualification spots for the final rounds on the opening day. The strong international turnout reflects growing confidence in the UAE’s ability to host world-class sporting events with precision and professionalism.

Ziad Galadari, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, highlighted that the championship’s global participation underscores the nation’s reputation as a safe, well-organised, and sophisticated hub. He also emphasised the continued commitment of UAE leadership to preserving the heritage of the Purebred Arabian horse while upholding international standards.

The event’s smooth launch has been credited to exceptional logistical planning, including the rapid conversion of exhibition spaces into fully equipped competition arenas. Organisers have also maintained strict compliance with global animal welfare regulations, ensuring the safe transport and care of all participating horses.

Widely regarded as one of the most prestigious events on the international equestrian calendar, the championship continues to evolve, offering a vital platform for showcasing top-tier Arabian horse talent. At the same time, it reinforces Dubai’s role in promoting international cooperation and excellence in sport.
