Dubai Police Unveils AED1 Billion Academy Project
Dubai Police has announced the AED1 billion Dubai Police Academy project, a state-of-the-art training facility in Al Ruwayyah 1.
Launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the academy is part of a broader AED2 billion investment in strategic Dubai Police projects. These initiatives aim to enhance security, advance specialised training, and improve employee wellbeing through innovative housing projects.
Set to be completed by 2027, the Dubai Police Academy will span 155 hectares and accommodate 2,500 cadets. Lieutenant Colonel Faisal Al Tamimi, Director of Assets and Facilities Department at Dubai Police, highlighted that the complex will feature four key zones: residential housing for up to 1,200 male and female cadets, academic buildings, sports facilities, and a central training field. The academy underscores Dubai’s commitment to providing world-class training and development for its police force.
A standout feature of the facility is its emphasis on physical fitness, with an Olympic-sized swimming pool, football field, outdoor courts, and a 3.5-kilometre cycling and running track included in the sports zone.
The academy’s design reflects Dubai Police’s mission to integrate academic excellence with physical readiness, fostering a future-ready police force equipped to uphold safety and security.
