About sixty male and female employees, including retirees of Dubai Police on Wednesday set off for the holiest of Muslim places, Mecca and Medina, on a special itinerary arranged and sponsored by the Force.
According to the Police statement posted on x, the members left through Dubai International Airport for the 6-day trip.
Brigadier Ali Al Mansoori, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness, along with 1st Lieutenant Ahmed Khalifa Al Mazrouei, Head of the Islamic and Tolerance Affairs Section at the Security Awareness Department, and several other officers bid them farewell.
Brig. Al Mansoori emphasized that this initiative was launched as per the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police. He added that it reflects the constant efforts to implement humanitarian initiatives that promote happiness and improve the quality of life among employees.
Meanwhile, 1st Lt. Al Mazrouei further explained that this Umrah journey is part of the many noble initiatives provided by the Force, which are based on a keen interest in promoting happiness and enhancing the quality of life for Dubai Police employees. “These initiatives have a tangible impact on the values and behavior of the employees. They also aim to strengthen their religious motivation by enabling them to visit the Two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina,” he concluded.
