Dubai: Dubai Police have dismissed reports regarding a Ukrainian model who was previously reported as missing.
Several international media outlets claimed that the 20 year old had been missing for 10 days and was found abandoned on the side of a road in Dubai. One report even stated she was “found battered” on a Dubai street.
In an official statement issued via the Government of Dubai Media Office, Dubai Police confirmed to Gulf News that these claims are false.
They clarified that the Ukrainian citizen, who was previously reported missing, is currently hospitalised, receiving medical care with her family by her side.
A thorough investigation revealed that she sustained serious injuries after entering a restricted construction site alone and falling from a height. The incident occurred on March 12, and witnesses at the scene immediately alerted emergency services. She was promptly transported to the hospital, where she remains under medical care as she continues her recovery.
Dubai Police emphasised that multiple international reports contain significant factual inaccuracies, particularly the claims that she was missing for 10 days or was found abandoned.
Authorities continue to work closely with the victim’s family and relevant organisations to provide necessary support.
In accordance with UAE laws, all evidence and case details remain confidential while the investigation is ongoing.
“We urge the public and media to refrain from sharing unverified information and to respect the privacy of the individual and her family during this difficult time,” Dubai Police stated.
