Dubai Launches ‘MyDubai Communities’ to Strengthen Social Bonds and Engagement
Dubai has taken a significant step towards strengthening its community bonds with the launch of ‘MyDubai Communities,’ a digital platform spearheaded by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
The initiative aims to bring together residents, visitors, and citizens by providing a space to explore and engage in a diverse range of community activities across the city.
An evolution of the widely popular #MyDubai initiative launched in 2014, this new platform reinforces Dubai’s values of tolerance, inclusivity, and peaceful coexistence. By uniting people through shared interests, MyDubai Communities supports the emirate’s goal of enhancing quality of life and positioning itself among the world’s top three cities for living standards, as outlined in Dubai Social Agenda 33.
The platform, accessible via mydubaicommunities.com and highlighted on Instagram and TikTok (@mydubaicommunities), serves as a central hub connecting people from various social, cultural, and professional backgrounds. It launches as part of the UAE’s 2025 Year of Community, underscoring a commitment to creating inclusive spaces for collaboration and shared experiences.
With an initial offering of around 100 interest-based communities, the platform covers a broad spectrum of activities, from sports and wellness to arts, networking, and cultural engagements. Users can seamlessly discover events, join communities, and even list their own groups in under five minutes, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that true urban success extends beyond infrastructure—it is defined by the strength of its communities. The launch of MyDubai Communities reflects Dubai’s forward-thinking vision and commitment to fostering an environment where everyone can thrive, contribute, and feel a deep sense of belonging.
