Dubai Honours Top Non-Profit Organisations for Excellence in Social Services
Dubai has recognised 25 distinguished non-profit organisations for their exceptional contributions to social development, underlining the emirate’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in social services.
Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid, Director-General of the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai, highlighted that this initiative aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Executive Council’s policy to empower civil society. She praised the honoured organisations for enriching lives, strengthening social cohesion, and uplifting vulnerable segments of society.
The organisations were evaluated based on comprehensive criteria, including service quality, alignment with community needs, and innovation in addressing social challenges. Categories included Diamond, Platinum, and Gold, with financial rewards provided to encourage continuous improvement.
In the Diamond category, the Integrated Social Care Foundation and Family Support Association were recognised for their impactful services to senior citizens and low-income families, respectively. The Platinum category celebrated organisations such as the Skills Empowerment Centre and Afaq Association for their efforts in integrating People of Determination into society. Meanwhile, the Gold category honoured the Al Noor Association and Al Amal Foundation for their holistic and sustainable community services.
Buhumaid expressed pride in the non-profit sector’s pivotal role in complementing government efforts, stating,
“These organisations provide exceptional services that address the local community’s needs, enhancing the quality of life for all members of society.”
The ceremony underscored Dubai’s vision of sustainable social development, setting benchmarks for excellence and inspiring continued progress in the sector.
