Dubai Duty Free delivered its strongest month in 42 years as November 2025 sales hit AED876.56 million, the highest monthly total in the retailer’s history.

The performance marked a 16.77 percent jump from November last year and pushed the operator past the US$2 billion sales mark by mid month, underscoring exceptional momentum in a landmark year.

Average daily sales reached a record AED29.21 million, while November 29 emerged as the year’s biggest shopping day with AED37.55 million in revenue. Year to date sales climbed to AED7.75 billion, reflecting a 9.57 percent rise and outpacing passenger traffic growth by an estimated 10 percent.

Managing Director Ramesh Cidambi described the month as a defining milestone, crediting consistent record breaking performance and the guidance of Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

Sales growth was strong across all transaction types. Purchases above AED500 grew more than 20 percent in value and contributed three quarters of total sales. High performing categories included perfumes at AED160.58 million, liquor at AED103.59 million and gold at AED87.67 million. Confectionery saw a standout month with a 42.93 percent surge to AED83.29 million, driven in part by the Dubai Chocolate segment and the popular Patchi Pistachio Kunafa Bar.

Electronics rose 13.60 percent, supported by record demand for the iPhone 17. Luxury fashion remained a major growth engine with sales up 40.32 percent following recent boutique openings in Concourse A.

Terminal wide performance was equally strong. Concourse A sales climbed nearly 38 percent, Arrivals increased more than 14 percent, and AMIA departures posted close to 47 percent growth. All traveller regions recorded positive results.

As Dubai Duty Free prepares for peak festive travel and its 42nd anniversary celebrations on December 20, the operator expects to sustain momentum with exclusive offers and enhanced in store experiences.
