Dubai Chambers Hosts 12th Diplomatic Circle to Boost Global Economic Ties
Dubai Chambers successfully held its 12th Diplomatic Circle event, drawing over 100 ambassadors, consul generals, and commercial attachés from across the UAE.
The gathering underscored the emirate’s commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with the international community.
Chairman Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair, in his keynote speech, emphasized the crucial role played by the diplomatic corps in forging international partnerships. He highlighted Dubai Chambers’ efforts to enhance trade and investment links globally. Al Ghurair noted that Dubai’s success has been bolstered by a robust network of Business Councils, which grew to 55 by mid-2024, and a global network of 31 international representative offices aimed at attracting businesses and investments.

Al Ghurair stated.
“Our annual Diplomatic Circle gatherings and various industry events throughout the year serve as vital platforms to explore Dubai’s dynamic economy and foster sustainable growth.”
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, provided insights on the impact of Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) during the session ‘Beyond Borders: Maximising CEPA for Economic Growth.’ Al Zeyoudi stressed that CEPAs are instrumental in expanding trade, enhancing international relations, and reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global business hub. He emphasized that these agreements are driving economic growth and investment in key sectors.
Additionally, Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, presented a review of the chamber’s achievements in the first half of 2024 and outlined future plans for its three branches: Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, and Dubai International Chamber.
The event highlighted Dubai’s ongoing efforts to maintain its status as a leading global trade and investment center, showcasing its strategic role in the evolving global economy.
