Dubai Airshow 2025 closed with a historic surge in global aerospace activity, securing more than USD202 billion in deals and cementing the emirate’s position as a leading force in aviation and space innovation.
The figure doubles the USD101 billion achieved in 2023, marking the event’s strongest performance to date.
The 19th edition drew 248,788 visitors over five days, bringing together industry leaders, experts, and decision makers from 115 countries. The show featured more than 1,500 exhibitors, including 440 first-time participants, alongside 490 military and civil delegations. Its expanded footprint included 21 national pavilions, 98 chalets, and an additional 8,000 square metres of display space, reflecting rising global interest in Dubai’s aviation ecosystem.
Major announcements drove much of the momentum. Emirates placed orders worth USD41.4 billion for 65 Boeing 777-9 aircraft and eight Airbus A350-900 jets, bringing its total wide-body commitments to 375, with deliveries extending to 2038. Flydubai added to the investment wave with a memorandum of understanding to purchase 75 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft valued at USD13 billion.
This year’s Space Pavilion, the largest in the event’s history, highlighted the UAE’s growing ambitions in the sector. Organised with the UAE Space Agency, it included a two-day conference featuring over 50 experts and astronauts discussing commercialisation, challenges, and global cooperation.
Sustainability also took centre stage through the use of sustainable aviation fuel, electric and propane-powered ground equipment, and exhibition halls operating entirely on renewable energy.
Under the theme The Future is Here, the Airshow showcased advances shaping the next generation of aerospace technology and reaffirmed Dubai’s influence in driving global industry growth ahead of its next edition in November 2027.
