Dubai Civil Defence teams successfully contained a fire that broke out near Dubai International Airport early Monday morning after a drone strike damaged a fuel tank in the vicinity of the airport.
According to authorities, the incident occurred in the early hours of 16 March 2026 and prompted an immediate emergency response. Civil Defence units were deployed to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control while implementing strict safety procedures.
Officials confirmed that the blaze was caused by damage to a fuel tank following the drone attack. Emergency crews worked swiftly to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby facilities.
Authorities also confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident.
Relevant agencies continue to assess the situation while maintaining heightened safety measures in the area.
