Fujairah: Doctors at Fujairah Hospital successfully revived a patient whose heart had stopped for nearly 40 minutes after a severe heart attack.

The patient was rushed to the hospital’s emergency department following sudden cardiac arrest.

A specialised medical team worked tirelessly to restore her heartbeat using advanced resuscitation techniques, saving her life without lasting complications, according to Emirates Health Services, which oversees the hospital.

Dr Ahmed Obaid Al Khadim, Director of Fujairah Hospital, praised the case as proof of the hospital’s readiness and the expertise of its medical staff.

“This success reflects the spirit of teamwork and rapid response in handling critical cases, reaffirming our commitment to providing advanced and safe healthcare,” he said.

Dr Thaer Khazim, head of the hospital’s cardiology department, said swift coordination between emergency and cardiology teams was crucial.
