DHA Launches Pioneering Healthcare Standards During UAE Innovation Month
Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), has announced the launch of a groundbreaking set of healthcare standards and protocols aimed at enhancing patient experiences in Dubai’s healthcare sector.
These initiatives, among the first of their kind in the region, reflect the emirate’s commitment to innovation and excellence in medical services.
Marking UAE Innovation Month, Al Ketbi highlighted the country’s strategic approach to fostering innovation. He noted that the annual UAE Innovation Month serves as a key platform to solidify the nation’s global competitiveness in various fields, particularly in healthcare.
“Innovation is a defining feature of our work and a way of life in the UAE. At DHA, we are leveraging every available tool, resource, and creative idea to ensure the sustainability of healthcare and pave the way for a better future,”
Al Ketbi stated.
As part of its participation in UAE Innovation Month, which runs until February 26, DHA has curated an extensive agenda. Senior DHA officials will conduct field visits to leading innovation centers in Dubai to explore best practices. Additionally, the authority is organizing specialized discussion panels and a brainstorming session on “Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications,” featuring DHA specialists and industry experts.
The agenda also includes training sessions on the “Afkar” platform, designed to foster innovative thinking and empower users with the skills to develop creative solutions for healthcare advancements. Moreover, a lecture titled “Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact on Innovation” is expected to draw 1,000 participants from various government entities, further reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to integrating AI into the healthcare landscape.
