📈 UAE’s Non-Oil Trade Surpasses AED 3.8 Trillion
In a historic economic milestone, the UAE’s non-oil foreign trade exceeded AED 3.8 trillion ($1.03 trillion) in 2025, marking an impressive 26.8% annual growth.
The achievement arrives five years ahead of schedule under the “We the UAE 2031” vision.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum highlighted that non-oil exports alone reached AED 813.8 billion, growing 45.5% year-on-year.

Exports totaled AED 234.4 billion, a 53.2% increase compared to 2024.

🛍️ Tourist Tax Refund Scheme Sees Strong Growth
The UAE’s digital Tourist Tax Refund Scheme continues to expand, enhancing the shopping experience for international visitors.
By the end of 2025:

Nearly 19,000 retail outlets were registered — a 7.6% increase from the previous year.

1,326 new outlets joined the scheme in 2025 alone.

Self-service VAT refund kiosks rose to 103 nationwide, up 7.3%.

Tragedy in Islamabad
At least 30 people were killed and more than 130 injured in a suspected suicide attack at a mosque in Pakistan’s capital during Friday prayers.
The explosion ripped through the congregation, leaving scenes of devastation and panic. Officials warn the death toll may rise as many victims remain in critical condition.
Authorities have launched an investigation as hospitals struggle to treat the wounded.
