Arsenal beat Brentford 3-1 in a London derby to kick off the first Premier League fixture of 2025.
The match at London’s Brentford Community Stadium saw Brentford take the lead through Bryan Mbeumo, but Gabriel Jesus, Mikel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli turned the match for the Gunners.
The Bees are 12th in the table with seven wins and nine defeats from their 19 matches.
The Gunners, who have played the same number of games, have recorded 11 wins and suffered only two defeats.
The win takes Arsenal from third to second, six points behind leaders Liverpool, who host Manchester United on Sunday.
