AJMAN, 7th May, 2025 (WAM) — Ajman Municipality & Planning Department signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO) to enhance collaboration and support mutual goals.
The agreement aims to achieve effective participation in joint initiatives, particularly in projects that improve air quality and promote sustainable development within Ajman.
The memorandum was signed by Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the Director General of the department, and Salem Omar Salem, the Regional Director of ICESCO in Sharjah, with officials from both sides present. The MoU outlines a framework for cooperation in research and development projects focused on carbon neutrality and innovation, as well as exchanging success stories and best practices.
Al Nuaimi emphasised the department’s commitment to strengthening relationships with leading sustainability organizations, while Salem expressed pride in collaborating with the municipality and highlighted the importance of mutual knowledge exchange to achieve shared strategic goals.
