Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Russia for high-level discussions with President Vladimir Putin, as Tehran intensifies diplomatic efforts to bring an end to its ongoing conflict with the United States.
Meanwhile, tensions remain high in southern Lebanon, where Israeli forces have continued airstrikes despite a US-brokered ceasefire. At least 14 people, including two children, were reported killed on Sunday amid the renewed bombardment.
US President Donald Trump indicated that Washington remains open to dialogue, stating that Iranian leaders “can come to us, or they can call us” if they are willing to negotiate. His remarks follow the cancellation of a planned diplomatic visit to Pakistan by US envoys.
Elsewhere, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz remains tense. Senior Iranian lawmaker Ali Nikzad emphasized that Tehran will not accept a return to pre-war conditions in the vital shipping corridor, underlining the broader regional stakes tied to the conflict.
