The UAE’s hospitality industry recorded a strong performance in the first half of 2025, welcoming more than 16.1 million guests, according to Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism.
The figure reflects a 5.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Al Marri highlighted the sector’s resilience and continued growth, crediting the results to the support of the country’s leadership and the collaboration between public and private stakeholders. He noted that the industry’s performance underscores the UAE’s position as a competitive and attractive tourism destination both regionally and globally.
The announcement came during the third meeting of the Hospitality Advisory Council for 2025, which brought together senior representatives from national and international hotel groups. The council reviewed sector performance and discussed initiatives to further develop the industry and expand investment opportunities.
Data presented at the meeting showed hotel nights rising to 56 million, an increase of 7.3 percent, with the average guest stay reaching 3.5 nights. The UAE currently has 1,243 hotel establishments providing more than 216,000 rooms across the country.
Officials emphasized that sustained growth in hospitality plays a central role in strengthening the UAE’s economy and advancing its global tourism standing.
