UP: Nation’s best performing university

In a separate survey conducted by OCTA Research, the University of the Philippines (UP) emerged as the most respected university in the country.

The survey, carried out from November 10 to 16, showed 71% of respondents perceiving UP as the best university in the Philippines.

Other universities also ranked high in public perception:

De La Salle University (DLSU): 15%

Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU): 14%

Less than 1% of respondents chose “other” universities.

The OCTA poll, conducted among 1,200 participants with a margin of error of ±3%, confirmed UP’s top standing across all geographic and socio-economic sectors.

The research group, which includes several UP professors among its founders, clarified that the non-commissioned survey results were shared as a public service.
