UAE Air Defences Intercept 10 Ballistic Missiles, 45 UAVs from Iran

DUBAI:  The United Arab Emirates’ air defence systems intercepted 10 ballistic missiles and 45 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran on Tuesday, the Ministry of Defence confirmed.

Since the beginning of the ongoing Iranian attacks, UAE defences have engaged a total of 314 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,672 UAVs.

The assaults have claimed the lives of two UAE armed forces personnel and six foreign nationals from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Palestine. Additionally, 157 people were injured, with cases ranging from minor to severe. The injured include nationals from over 25 countries, including the UAE, Egypt, Ethiopia, the Philippines, India, Türkiye, and Sweden.

The Ministry of Defence stated that the UAE remains fully prepared to respond to threats, emphasizing its commitment to safeguarding national security, sovereignty, and stability.
