H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Tuesday opened Intersec 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, marking the start of one of the world’s largest and most influential exhibitions dedicated to security, safety, and fire protection.

Now in its 27th edition, the event runs until 14 January and brings together more than 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries. Organisers expect more than 50,000 visitors, reflecting Intersec’s growing global footprint and Dubai’s role as a hub for advanced security solutions.

Sheikh Mansoor, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, toured the exhibition alongside senior officials from Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Customs, State Security, the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and the Security Industry Regulatory Authority. During the visit, he reviewed a wide range of technologies presented by national, regional, and international companies.

Speaking at the opening, Sheikh Mansoor said Intersec underscores Dubai’s position as a leading global platform for the development of advanced security and safety systems. He highlighted the importance of aligning rapid technological innovation with institutional readiness and real-world application to strengthen community safety and emergency response capabilities.

The tour included visits to leading companies and government pavilions showcasing solutions across surveillance, cybersecurity, fire protection, and emergency response. At the Dubai Civil Defense pavilion, Sheikh Mansoor was briefed on advanced systems such as firefighting drones, rescue vehicles for high-rise and rugged terrain, robotics for hazardous environments, and an AI-powered platform supporting operational decision-making.

Intersec 2026 focuses on five core sectors, including homeland security, cybersecurity, fire and rescue, and health and safety. The exhibition also features conferences, leadership summits, and innovation forums, culminating in the Intersec Awards ceremony on its second day.
