Early morning rain reported in Al Ain, Sharjah and parts of Dubai as cloudy skies and strong winds continue across the country

Dubai: The unstable weather that swept across the UAE over the weekend is set to continue today, Monday, October 13. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a fresh bulletin confirming the persistence of convective cloud formations and widespread rainfall throughout the day, particularly over the eastern and northern parts of the country.

🌦️ Early Showers Across the Emirates
Residents in Al Ain, parts of Sharjah, and Dubai woke up to light to moderate rain this morning. Heavier showers were recorded in mountainous areas, especially around Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain. Light rainfall was also reported in Jebel Ali and Dubai Production City, following widespread showers yesterday that offered residents a welcome cooldown. Weather watchers on social media, including @storm_ae, shared videos capturing the early morning downpour.

🌩️ Monday Forecast: Cloudy Skies and Possible Thunderstorms
According to NCM, today’s weather will remain partly cloudy with a significant chance of convective cloud formation over northern and eastern regions, extending at times to internal and southern areas as well as offshore islands. These clouds are expected to bring more rainfall, with the potential for heavy rain and thunderstorms in Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Al Ain.

🌡️ Temperatures

Coastal & Islands: 34°C – 38°C

Inland: 36°C – 40°C

Mountains: Cooler at 26°C – 30°C

🌬️ Winds, Visibility & Sea Conditions
Winds will be light to moderate, at times strengthening with cloud activity to become strong, leading to blowing dust and sand. This may reduce horizontal visibility, especially in open areas. Motorists are advised to drive with caution on wet roads and in low-visibility conditions.

🌫️ Humidity and Fog Formation
Humidity is expected to rise tonight and early Tuesday morning, especially in western areas, increasing the likelihood of fog or mist during the early commute. Sea conditions are forecast to be slight to moderate, occasionally becoming rough in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea during convective cloud activity.

Authorities urge the public to stay updated through official NCM warnings and advisories as unstable weather persists into Tuesday.
