A Dubai Police traffic patrol reached the driver’s vehicle within minutes of him seeking help and, with the assistance of another patrol that had gotten ahead of it, worked to gradually bring it to a stop.
The Police traffic patrols, working in coordination with the Command and Control Centre, were able to rescue a driver whose vehicle’s cruise control unexpectedly malfunctioned. The driver had called the emergency number (999), requesting urgent assistance as he could not control the situation.
Thanks to the strong security presence across Dubai, the traffic patrols responded swiftly to the driver’s call for help. One patrol reached the driver’s vehicle in just a matter of minutes and, with the assistance of another patrol that had gotten ahead of it, worked to gradually bring it to a stop. This swift action prevented a potential traffic accident or the driver from losing complete control of the car.
