Police in Dubai have warned citizens of scammers who call members of the public pretending to be the police.
Writing on their timeline, the Police said they have identified multiple fraud cases in which scammers pretended to be police members or departments, asking for payments via links and other personal information.
They urged the public to stop giving their personal details to online strangers but instead verify the sender’s email, and report it to Dubai Police ECrime, police social media channels, or call 901.
