Abu Dhabi: At this year’s Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress in Abu Dhabi, industry leaders, creatives, and technologists converged to discuss one of the most dynamic intersections of innovation and imagination: Artificial Intelligence in Media and Entertainment. The panel, titled “AI in Media and Entertainment: Transforming Creativity and Audience Engagement,” shed light on how AI is revolutionizing storytelling, content creation, and viewer interaction.
Moderated by a prominent media strategist, the panel featured experts from global streaming platforms, AI tech firms, animation studios, and content production companies. One of the key themes that emerged was how AI is augmenting—not replacing—human creativity.

Speakers emphasized that AI is enabling creators to push the boundaries of storytelling through generative tools that assist in scriptwriting, visual effects, music composition, and even virtual actors. AI-powered platforms can now analyze narrative patterns and audience preferences to suggest plot developments or character arcs, allowing creators to fine-tune their work in ways never before possible.

“AI is not here to take away jobs—it’s here to expand the canvas,” said a representative from a leading animation studio. “From pre-visualization to post-production, AI is unlocking faster, more efficient, and more experimental forms of content creation.”
Another major talking point was how AI is transforming the way audiences experience and interact with media. AI algorithms are now used to deliver hyper-personalized content recommendations, adaptive advertising, and even interactive experiences tailored in real-time.

Representatives from global streaming services demonstrated how AI can predict viewer behavior, allowing platforms to recommend content with uncanny precision. Meanwhile, media tech startups showcased AI tools that enable real-time language dubbing, sentiment analysis, and dynamic storytelling for immersive experiences in gaming and virtual reality.

“Engagement is no longer passive,” said a digital strategist from a leading streaming platform. “With AI, audiences are part of the narrative—choosing how they watch, what they engage with, and even how stories unfold.”

The discussion also touched on important ethical concerns. As AI becomes more integrated into creative workflows, questions around authorship, copyright, and deepfake technologies have come to the forefront. Panelists called for clear guidelines and collaborative frameworks to ensure that AI-driven creativity maintains human values and respects intellectual property.

“A future where AI and creativity coexist must be rooted in transparency, fairness, and accountability,” noted one panelist from an AI research institute.
The panel concluded with a consensus that the fusion of AI and media is not a passing trend, but a fundamental shift. Governments, investors, and creative professionals must work together to foster an environment that encourages innovation while safeguarding cultural heritage and artistic integrity.
