The western discourse on the circumstances behind the creation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (Nato), 75 years ago, is hardly convincing.
Yet, that oversimplified discourse must be examined in order for the current decline of the organisation to be appreciated beyond the self-serving politics of Nato’s members.
The prevailing conflict in the World and the tensions mounting in the Middle East calls for the organization to re-think and re-align so as to de escalate the tensions that are likely to trigger WW111.
The Gaza war with Israel, the Iran-Israel conflict and the Russian-Ukrainian war certainly has NATO footprints and it is only this organization that may bring end these are called for wars.
