DUBAI-In a significant contribution to bolster healthcare and infrastructure to African countries, on Wednesday Exim Credit Bank (ECB) generously donated medical mattresses to Tanzania.
The handover ceremony held at the Tanzanian Embassy was attended by two ministers, Dr Dorothy Gwajima and Hon Riziki Pembe Juma while ECB officials were led by their CEO, Mr Robert Joseph.
The donation comes as part of the bank’s commitment to supporting communities and addressing critical needs, especially in the face of global health challenges while also encompassing essential medical supplies and devices to aid healthcare professionals in delivering quality care to patients.
Furthermore, the gesture by ECB aligns with its broader corporate social responsibility initiatives, which aim to make a positive difference in society by supporting healthcare, education, environmental sustainability and community development.
Expressing their gratitude, the two ministers emphasized the importance of such contributions in strengthening the country’s health care system.
They also highlighted the significant impact the donated mattress will have on improving healthcare services and saving lives particularly in remote areas.
The donation by the bank symbolizes a collaborative effort towards advancing healthcare infrastructure and fostering a healthier future for the African people and in particular, Tanzania.
Mr Joseph said his bank remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote social and sustainable development in the continent with some African countries having received similar donations in the past.
He said, through strategic partnerships and impactful contributions, the ECB will continue to demonstrate its dedication to making difference in the community.
