About 84 defendants that are linked to a terrorist organization, Muslim Brotherhood have been referred to the Abu Dhabi Federal Court of Appeal for trials on charges of establishing another clandestine organization for the purpose of committing acts of violence and terrorism on UAE soil.
The UAE Attorney General has assigned legal representation for each suspect who are believed to have concealed the evidence but were later arrested.
It is believed that after thorough investigations on the case that revealed the crime’s details, and with enough evidence of its commission, the Attorney General referred the case to the state security for trial.
The State Security Court has also begun public trial proceedings in the case and appointed a lawyer for each defendant who does not have legal representation.
Public trial and hearing witnesses’ procedures are still ongoing.
